am i able to order ice cream by the scoop?
Yes! We have flavours by the scoop. We make all our ice cream in store and in small batches, so we may run out.
You can also buy pre-packaged ice cream in 500mL glass vessels & 946mL paper containers. Not all ice cream flavours are available at each of these sizes, although if we are not too busy, ice cream flavours that are available by the scoop can be packaged into a 500mL or 946mL container upon request.
can i pre-order ice cream?
We don’t do pre-orders, but you can call ahead to reserve a 500mL or 946mL container for pick up on the same day only. PH: 604-428-0793.
If you are unable to get through, this means that we are on the other line or helping a customer in store; please try calling again after a few minutes.
HOW LONG WILL MY ICE CREAM LAST WHILE IN TRANSIT?
Many factors play into how frozen your ice cream will be after you purchase it from our shop, such as the weather, temperature in your vehicle, distance to travel etc. We recommend placing your ice cream in the freezer as soon as you get home and time your travel as if you had purchased ice cream from your local grocery store. You are more than welcome to bring a cooler to transport your ice cream.
DOES YOUR ICE CREAM HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE?
Our ice cream is packed with a paper tab to prevent surface contact with air. Once exposed, our ice cream may begin to form ice crystals and alter the flavour/texture. We recommend consuming the ice cream within 2 weeks of opening, otherwise; unopened ice cream can last up to or over a year. Our milk glass jars are labelled with a “best consumed by date” on the bottom.
How much of your ice cream can i order?
As much as you would like! If you are interested in buying our ice cream for an event or in bulk, please complete the form here to get in touch with our events team. They can arrange special orders or events catering.
Do you deliver?
In Vancouver, you can order our ice cream on Doordash & UberEats. Availability is determined by your location. If La Glace does not show up on your delivery app, then unfortunately, we are not available in your area.
Not everything available in our store is available for delivery, as we create special batches unique (one off or experimental flavours) for in-store pick up only.
DO YOU RECYCLE EMPTY JARS?
As a thank you, we offer a $1 courtesy credit for each jar (with or without lid) returned in clean and reusable condition. They otherwise make beautiful recepticles for your home, such as for tea/coffee, grains, florals. Jars that have not been cleaned are not eligible for a $1 courtesy credit and will be placed in recycling.
DO YOU SELL GIFT CARDS?
Gift cards may be purchased in store only and loaded with any amount.
DO YOU SELL GIFT BAGS?
Our premium, water resistant gift bags available for $2 each and can hold up to four 500 mL glass jars.
HOW DOES THE TEMPERATURE RELEASE ON THE GLASS JARS WORK?
Our glass jars are made of milk glass and provide the best means in gradually warming the ice cream to the perfect temperature to be enjoyed. The lids are designed to release when the jar has warmed. Refer to our infographic below.
